Mid-Summer in Bangkok

I can’t believe it’s already half way through my internship with UNESCO Bangkok. What did I actually do this past month? Currently, I am still working on the same three projects that mentioned in my first post. The first project is researching for non-formal education materials (curriculum, textbooks, or teacher’s guides, and policies among others) for a colleague to support Myanmar’s Department of Alternative Education. … Continue reading Mid-Summer in Bangkok

Amusement

Something that has amused me since my first day in Brazil is that my shower has ‘winter’ and ‘summer’ settings. It’s ‘winter’ here, and the ‘winter’ water temperature of my shower is “lukecold” on a good day. If there’s any chance that the ‘summer’ water is even colder, I’m not going to fiddle with it. A Mid-Summer Update

Hello again, everybody from Roatán, Honduras! As of today I have officially been on the island for one month. Mostly, however, I seriously cannot believe how fast the time is flying by! … Continue reading A Mid-Summer Update

Meetings

Some of my favorite work activities in Brasília so far have been official meetings, especially interagency meetings. UNESCO in Brazil being just one part of a larger organization, and UNESCO itself being just one of many agencies in the UN system, our office in Brasília communicates and collaborates a lot with other offices and agencies in Brasília, in the region and in the world. This … Continue reading Meetings

Guten “Morgan” from Germany!

Hallo, everyone! Arriving in Bonn was a trip and a halfffff. The complexity was intentional for the sake of a cheaper plane ticket and wow, was it an adventure. Now that I’m here and settled, I am so happy and I’ve more or less slid into my groove. But let’s start from the beginning! After “graduation” (those of us graduating immediately following Internship walked in … Continue reading Guten “Morgan” from Germany!
