Internship

Around the Potomac

It is difficult to believe that I am almost done with my internship! I have to admit the novelty of being in the capital has definitely worn off especially with the temp hitting 100F plus! Update on the Work: I definitely think I enjoyed the first month more than month two and three. I think things have slowed down a little because many members of the … Continue reading Around the Potomac

The Americas

It’s the Little Things

For at least six months, I drove myself (and I guess Dr. GK) crazy about where I wanted to intern. I changed my mind at least 5 times. It started off with a Portugal dream in November. Come APRIL, I 100% wanted to do DC. I had a simple strategy: I didn’t have to return to Philly in the fall and so was ready to … Continue reading It’s the Little Things

We spoke to #IEDP students who went for the CIES 2023 conference in Washington DC and asked them to share their main takeaways! And here they are! For the full article, head to IEDP's blog 🔗www.penniedp.blog. Happy Spring! 🌸🍃🌿 #UPennCampus #UPenn 🎉🎉Congratulations to all the students who’ve received their admission offers! As you start exploring accommodation options, consider applying to become a GRA - Graduate Resident Advisor.  GRAs are provided free accommodation in on-campus college houses (dorms) in exchange for supervising resident students on their assigned floor. Giang, Farzanah and Jimmie are current IEDP students who are also GRAs - hear from them about their experience! For full video, head to our blog (link in bio). #IEDP #PennGSE #GRA Last week, a group of IEDP students had the opportunity to ☕️chat with Dr. Wendy Chan, an expert in the field of educational statistics. Dr. Chan shared with us about how she communicates information in a more accessible manner and tailors her courses to students in the education field. She also reminded us that data is not objective, and that synergy and collaboration are crucial in doing research, especially in socially-minded projects. Thank you so much, Dr. Chan and the IEDPers who joined today, for such an insightful conversation! #IEDP #PennGSE #UPenn #☕️chat 📣Join IEDP virtual information session on April 7th. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the people, the curriculum, and the admission process of the International Educational Development Program. Spring Semester’s IEDP 🥗🍽️Luncheon Series started with Education Specialist, Mark West, from UNESCO Headquarters' Future of Learning and Innovation Division. He discussed about UNESCO's forthcoming publication, 'An Ed-Tech Tragedy' with IEDP students. Special thanks to Mr. West and the IEDP students for a fruitful discussion. #IEDP #PennGSE #UNESCO #LuncheonSeries
