What supported you the most in your IEDP-journey?

As our time as a cohort is coming to an end, I asked my fellow cohort members what in their IEDP journey supported them the most. Watch the video to see their answers.

Following that, I want to give a big shout-out to a few people in IEDP that supported me most throughout the year.

First, Lauren, our incredible program manager, who is always there to answer questions, guide us with care, and thinks two steps ahead to make our IEDP experience the best possible.

A big thank you goes to all the professors at GSE and Penn in general, who support us in and out of class, especially our IEDP faculty:

  • Dr. Thapa, who never misses a dad joke and shows up with the most thoughtful and powerful PPPs, when we most need them
  • Dr. Wagner, who continues to amaze us with his wealth of lived experience
  • Dr. Hook, who brings a unique understanding for us, having been an IEDP student himself
  • Dr. Wolf, whose presence brings empathy and curiosity into every conversation
  • and Dr. GK, who always shows up with kind, supportive words and a little German treat, when I most need it.

Last but not least, my wonderful fellow GAs – Angie, Joy, Sara and Sheila – you are mentioned in the video a few times and deserve to be mentioned again. Our Wednesday meetings meant a lot to me and as much as we supported our cohort, you supported me. Thank you for this year of working, learning and growing together.

On that note: Thank you IEDP!
